Rainbow Joy Book Shop started the way a lot of small things start. One good book, one kid who needed it, and the stubborn belief that a book does not stop being good after one reader.

We are a small family business in St. Louis, Missouri, selling gently used children's books the way a librarian would hand them to you: matched to the child, grouped by age, paired with something to hold. Age-range bundles. Theme stacks. Book-and-plush pairings. Not a wall of random spines, but a small stack somebody actually thought about.

Over 300 families have bought from us and left more than 80 five star reviews. Every one of those orders was sourced, sorted and checked page by page by the same person.

Why analog

Because paper does something a screen does not. It stays still. It waits. A child can carry it into a fort, fall asleep on it, come back to it a hundred times. That kind of attention is worth protecting, and good secondhand books are how you give a family a lot of it without spending a lot.
