Age-Range Bundles
What is ROYGBIV?
You know the song — Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, Violet. It's the same rainbow that taught you the color spectrum as a kid, and now it's how I sort books by age here at Rainbow Joy. Every bundle in a color band is picked for a specific stage, so you can shop by color instead of guessing what fits.
- ❤️ Red — ages 0–2: chunky board books, first words and first stories.
- 🧡 Orange — ages 2–3: board books and early picture books for toddlers on the move.
- 💛 Yellow — ages 3–4: picture books for preschoolers.
- 💚 Green — ages 4–6: longer picture books for kindergarten readers.
- 💙 Blue (6–8), 🩵 Indigo (8–10), and 💜 Violet (10+) are coming soon, as soon as I've got enough gently-loved books on the shelf to fill them right.
I'd rather wait and do a color band well than rush one out half-stocked, so thank you for your patience while Blue, Indigo, and Violet fill in.
Our Used Book Promise
Every book that leaves Rainbow Joy has to clear a floor before it's allowed to sell. Here's what that means in plain terms.
What you might find, and why it's fine: a child's name written inside the front cover, a softened or slightly bent corner, light shelf wear, a price sticker on the back. That's a book that got loved, and we think it counts in its favor — it means some other kid already couldn't put it down.
What you'll never find: torn or missing pages, missing flaps or pieces on interactive books, writing on the story pages themselves, water damage or mildew, or a library barcode and stamp.
And if I miss something? If a book ever arrives in worse shape than promised, I'll replace it or refund it — just message the shop. No hoops to jump through.
